Frequently Asked Questions:

FICO® Scores, the credit scores created by Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO), are the most widely used credit scores in lending decisions. Lenders can request FICO® Scores from all three major credit reporting agencies. FICO develops FICO® Scores based solely on information in consumer credit files maintained at the credit reporting agencies. Understanding your FICO®Score can help you better understand your credit risk and allow you to effectively manage your financial health. A good FICO ® Score means better financial options for you.

The classic FICO® Scores which are in use today by the vast majority of lenders all fall within the 300‐850 score range. This score range was introduced to establish an easy‐to‐understand, common frame of reference for lenders and consumers.

When a lender receives your FICO® Score, "key score factors" are also delivered, which are the top factors that affect the score. Addressing some or all of these key score factors can help you improve your financial health over time. Having a good FICO® Score can put you in a better position to qualify for credit or better terms in the future.

It is important to Texell to provide our members with information and tools that allow them to monitor their FICO® score. We are providing members with their FICO® Score and information to help them better understand it.

Texell partners with FICO® and Experian, one of the major reporting agencies, to be able to provide our members with their FICO® Score.

The FICO® Score Texell provides is based on information from member’s Experian credit report based on the “as of” date included with your score. This may differ from scores members have received else where that may have been calculated at a different time using information from a different credit bureau or even a different score model. If you have additional questions regarding the FICO® Score model and how it’s calculated, please refer to the FICO® Score FAQ and Understanding FICO® Scores.

Your score won’t be available if:
You have a joint account (only the primary account holder’s FICO® Score will be displayed)
You recently opened a new account – FICO® Scores are pulled quarterly
You do not have enough credit history to generate a score
You are on Experian’s block consumer file
